Sounds very good, eleanor. You should really give it a go and make some to sell as you are very knowledgeable about these things.

My parents used to dose us with codliver oil and malt as small children - yuck! And later on we always had Extract of Lettuce cough medicine and Haliborange when we had colds. I can still smell that weird smell of artificial orange now too, crocus, and it was odd given that we both lived in a country with masses of fresh oranges!

Goodness, I quite forgot about Extract of Lettuce - had some of that given to me as well. That smell of haliborange in this particular tablespoon is still very much in my mind. Urgh!

my mum in law always made my children home made raspberry vinegar for coughs and colds.i am now adopting thyme tea for coughs and sore throats.i just think it is so important to realise that a fresh herb tea.is like giving your system a cleanse.herbs contain so many health properties.i really feel we are losing out now that we dont use herbs so much.
jazz i just like making home made gifts and my own beauty products, theres no business woman in me.i have made some oat skin sloughers to take to daughters.

my new fave is tilleul tea.i didnt realise it but there are trees all over europe including G.B full of relaxing properties.last time i was in France me and daughter bought a bag of tilleul herbs for seven euros.then her friend said you have a garden full of your own tilleul.she showed us which tree it was.sure enough daughter has loads of them, they have creamed coloured flowers.in the evening they send out a beautiful poignant aroma that saturates the air.the flowers and tender light coloured leaves are what are used for the tea.in England lime blossom or linden tree is the same name.it is very good for helping you get to sleep also to relax you.i am going to try to buy a sapling.i picked the leaves each day.added lavendar and chamomile for a wonderful relaxing tea each evening.in the afternoon me and daughter picked peppermint and sage for a good refreshing brew.sage for hormoanal balance and peppermint for cooling the blood and calming the stomache.
