The coal brought back a memory to me when I was pregnant with my twins. I used to love the feel of it in my hands and would sit next to the coal skuttle so I could keep picking it up and rubbing between my hands.
I also thought about the smell of vinegar and polish from school days when we had to clean the desks at end of term.

Not a distant memory but a new one - The smell of pig muck they have just spread on the field opposite. It is unbearable in the garden this week. Sorry for the moan.

Oh dear, that's awful DF. A previous neighbour loved spreading pig muck on his grass - I know how you feel. It is truly unbearable. you'll have to go to bed with a clothes peg on your nose....... xx
