Hi all, I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on how to fix a loose floorboard that is under a fitted carpet. I noticed today that the floorboard just at the top of the stairs feels loose, probably as this one gets the most wear. We had carpets fitted throughout the hall and landings about 6 months ago, so I am not keen to have to get the carpet relayed, let alone that there are no local carpet fitters and the ones that we used had to come out from Edinburgh 50 miles away. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might be able to sort out the floorboard without too much disturbance? Thanks.

Apart from disturbing the carpet the only thing is if you could put a couple of nails through the carpet but the ones with tiny heads so they wouldn't be seen. You would have to ask in a good hardware shop for them. Good Luck. X
