I've got a problem with my washing machine, and was wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be.

The tray that I put the washing powder in won't take the washing powder out, so effectively a wash goes through and will only take the fabric conditioner. Does anyone know why this could be happening? The powder is just the normal Tesco natural stuff. We did a wash last week with Rich's plastery clothes, and I got him to take all the dried plaster off, but when I took the clothes out afterwards he'd missed a few bits. The machine was ok but then had trouble draining - that was just on one cycle, and after I spun the clothes again, the next wash went through fine. Now it's just it won't take the washing powder.

Any ideas most welcome

Thanks

If you do mostly low temp washes, the tubes get a bit blocked, so try running a hot wash through with no extra powder. (put old towels or something in so's not to waste the water). Make sure you've taken the drawer out and cleaned it. If it becomes an issue, sprinkle the powder in the bottom of the drum before putting the washing in.

Hi Oola, I had trouble in winter with powder in the washing machine, I switched to a laundry liquid and touch wood, no further problems.

I agree with the comments here. Try taking the drawer rght out and giving it a good clean, also if your machine has a filter give that a good clean too. Then run the hottest wash with some laundry bleach. Good luck.

Maybe you should try some soda in the drawer and put on hot wash
