It seems to be all hospital and doctors appointments for our family at the moment . My daughter has recently had her op on her shoulder.. yesterday Sheds was having her treatment ,my grandson has been to a London Hospital today and o h doctors because he has a throat infection which doctor says has to be watched because of him having Leukaemia as well as blood check for his thyroid problem Daughter to go on Tuesday as her Colitis has flared up again and then she has to go again a few days later for the shoulder check. It seems never ending appointments .

This seems to be overwhelming, Dinger, it has all come at the same time. I hope your stress is lowered some time soon. It sounds like you need a bit of me time.

I wonder if the colitis is connected with the stress of the shoulder? Wouldn't surprise me and while it doesn't make it go away it can make it more understandable.

It can be very worrying when the Colitis flares up she lost 2lb in just a day .A nasty uncomfortable complaint and you could be right the stress of her op could have upset it again .xx

As Ivy says, could also be antibiotic related as that causes diarrhoea but I also suspect any upset to the system can cause colitis to flare up. I know OH's "gut" has been very unsettled since his infection and antibiotics in early Jan although as far as we know his Colitis is still quiescent (fancy medical word!!!)

S G if your husband also gets Colitis can you tell me does it affect his tongue. My daughter always knows when she is going to get a flare up because she gets these blisters on her tongue . She was once told it was Geographical Tongue and nothing to do with Colitis but she has since heard it is a symptom of Chrones Decease. The two apparently are difficult to diagnose apart sometimes .xxx

No Fran this happens each time her Colitis flares up so must be tied into the complaint somewhere .It is very strange but gives her the signal she is going to have a flare up with it. Tomorrow she has another appointment for physio on her shoulder .

Your family does seem to have more than their fair share of hospital appointments Dinger. I hope they all get good results and get over their problems. xxx
