Are you making Christmas crafts or decorations? Palomina and my 3 little grandchildren are coming for Christmas from Australia. I love styling the house for Christmas. I am getting a new beige carpet in the drawing room, and making cushion covers in red and green. I am also making a quilted Advent Calander, a gold and red runner for the coffee table. I will make some large pompoms in red and white to hang from the ceiling. The kitchen is switched over from Blue Toile de Jouy to Red tartan for a cosy Christmas look. I will post photos when I have them finished and a tutorial for the pompoms which look great. I am just using fabric from my stash, so not costing me anything. A great site for little knitted Christmas stockings and little rabbits and bears etc., is http://littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk Go to the free pattern section.
Lets see what you're up to.

What a wonderful sight will great them Tiggywinkle. Christmas will be a magical time in your home. xxxx

Our grandchildren are all grown up so with 'trials and tribulations' our Christmas means so much to have us all together at the table. With the Christmas tree lights twinkling in the corner, a few candles, our log burner keeping as warm and lovely home cooked food.

Sounds like you go to a lot of time and effort tiggy. I haven't planned any decs yet, though did make little stockings with chocs in for trees, but they are in a gallery for sale.
I keep seeing home made paper chains, might have a go with some leftover pieces of wrapping paper.

I have quite a few homemade Christmas decorations which come out every year.
Here's a couple, crochted and sugared bells and a patchwork bauble. Enjoy your craft.

I can't crochet, but a lady in my patchwork group is going to teach me. I adore the crochet balls. Could you post the pattern? Thanks.

To make the tissue pompoms go to http://www,marthastewart.com click on craft section. In the search box type in Tissue paper Pompoms and you will see the tutorial. I rounded my ends, as I think they looked nicer. Just tease out the tissue gently so you don't tear it. I made them in pale pink for my 65th birthday party and they looked stunning and so easy to make. I also decorated my daughters outdoor entertainment area in Australia with them for little Poppet's christening.

Those are lovely gen. A lady was selling them for charity at Creative Stitches last year. My friend bought some, then begged some wool off me and knitted more for herself.

I have just finished digitizing these designs from drawings and stitched them out as a trial run. Will put some wadding behind them and use them for family cards

Thanks Cindy. Do you have a computerised one that does fancy work? I have one that does a few basic patterns. I have had a go at freehand machine embroidery without much success but think I will have another go.

Yes, DF it is computerised so that you load the program that you have written or bought on to the machine via a usb key, st the machine uo with material, threads and hoop and it stitches. So i was given the drawings (I can't draw) and went from there
