Hi all, please go into this website!

www.stevecarter.com/ansh/ansh2.htm

I was watching an episode of 'Rick Stein's Food Heroes' filmed at Loch Torridon in Scotland. I went into Google to learn a bit more and came across this amazing website! Once you're "in", just roll down on left hand side, click on "a photo a day" and follow from there! Steve Carter has an amazing talent with a camera and I cannot wait to see the picture he's going to put on the site every morning! It grabs your heart.

ENJOY!! :)

Oh dear! I clicked the link and then clicked the blog linked. Two hours later I've just finished reading it having had a good laugh on the way - if you're intrested in house building and dealing with builders it's a good read. It certainlymade me feel better (currently entering the fourth month of a three week job).

Meanwhile "the garage will be finished by mid September" and "the door will be here this week" are nothing but empty promises - we're still waiting for electrics, plumbing and three doors (garage door, door to house, person door to outside, a fireproof understairs cupboard door and stair casing. Will it be finished by winter do you think?

Time for another e-mail to the so called building company.

Hi eleanor, have you by any chance seen today's "photo a day"? Especially for the crafters amongst us, this is so cute! Remember to roll down once you're in, click on "photo a day", then click on "page 4". (Just above the picture). Then you just roll down through the days until you get to 6th October. Redstart, do yourself a favour and page through all the pictures - it's awesome.

Hi DF, I get totally lost when I look at these photos - it's just totally amazing. He definitely knows what to do with a camera, no doubt about that. Of course the scenes or objects are there, it's to capture it at the right second which is the art behind photography, and he definitely developed this art to the finest.

My OH once did a photographic and poetry installation with Steve Carter, crocus, for World Aids Day I think it was. When we lived near Edinburgh OH did quite a lot of collaborative work combining his poetry with the work of artists, photographers and musicians. OH is quite keen on photography and for his birthday I bought him a day's one-to-one advanced tutorial with a professional photographer in the Lake District. He is doing in during the Easter week and they are going up Scafell to take the photos.

Ijust adore this man's photography - I get totally lost in it to be quite frank and would love to be able to take such awesome piccies. I think the 'low light' in the northern hemisphere has a lot to do with these stunning scenes. It's not as sharp as our light here. x
