Looking at the times some of you are in the forum 3-4-5am does this mean you are already up and starting your day or is it that you have not been to bed yet?

I tend to get up around 6 but with the darker mornings I am getting up at 6.30 and that is a bit of a struggle. I have to walk the dog before I start the day, then do housework before my clients arrive, between 9 or 10am.

Hi, healing hands, here in our country we are an hour ahead of the UK at the moment until you change over to winter time - then it's 2 hours. I get up at 5.45 in the morning, have my morning coffee because I just cannot start the day without my cup of black, filter coffee in the morning! Boys get up at 6, leave for school at more or less 6.45. School start at 7.30 but they like to chat away with the friends before the bell goes. In summer of course it doesn't really matter, but in winter, oh my goodness, that's so difficult. Completely dark still at 5.45 and the sun 'wakes up' at about 7.30 in wintertime.

Heck that's still an early start Crocus. I didn't know there were two 5 O'clocks in a day!!

Hi Crocus.... do you not have daylight saving time, an equivalent of our GMT and BST in S.A. then?

I get up about 5.30 sometimes even earlier .I open the back door with cup of tea in my hand and look up at the stars .It is still very dark at that time.

We have a ten hour time difference at the moment. Daylight saving starts in Tasmania at the end of October. I like to get up early to have some "me" time before the rest of the day kicks in.
A good strong coffee and a hour on the computer uninterrupted.
