This is a replica of the post on General regarding this new forum, and eventually will be deleted:

Hi ladies

Just to let you know I've added a new forum called Business Development and Advice, at the moment it's sited down at the bottom of all the other fora until I get time to properly reshuffle them in the admin section. I thought it was a good idea, on the back of Jazzactivist's original post. Well-established, fledgling or even just business concepts can be discussed there.

If you already have a business, you can post the URL here and get feedback or advice on your site. It's not a business listing directory - that's something I'm planning on creating as a proper page to the website when I get a chance. If you'd like to have your business listed with no need for help or advice, send me the URL through the private message or email, and I'll make a sticky that I'll add it to for now, as a sort of temporary business listing. Then eventually I'll create a proper page. It's only open to active members of this website though and if it proves to be successful or helpful, eventually I'll start charging a small fee to new members to list to help cover the cost of running the website, so get in now whilst you can!!!! :) If it proves to be a dud, I'll simply remove the forum.

In your listing you can include:

- Your Username/First Name
- Your Website URL or contact details (note that email addresses listed will invite spammers to 'hoover up' your email and add it to their spamming list)
- A short description of the goods or services on offer

Let me know what you think!

Just to let you know that we've had a few recent additions to the business listing. Remember if you have a business or service that you can offer, however local, you can still grab the opportunity to list your business service or products here for FREE!

Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can start working building a proper page for the website, which will be more effective in drawing traffic to the webpage, and hopefully more custom your way!

Oola,
I would really like to post my website for our B&B. I was a bit shy about doing it, but now I see The Directory is closed. He who heitates is lost ! Do you plan on doing something similar, or would it be appropiate to post it in Travel?

Tiggy, could you private message me the website name. We're thinking of visiting Ireland in the spring next year [not sure where you are]. Were thinking of around Cork or Dublin although OH would like to visit Mayo as his relatives came from there in the 19th century. thanks

Hi tiggywinkle

we;re developing the business directory so you can just email me what you would like to appear on your ad along with a pic and i'll put it up once the directory is functioning.
