I have found that by stopping when i am about to get worked up about something.which is happening a lot since i have been peri menopausal. That if i take stop, stop and breath slowly and deeply. Then i keep breathing slowly and deeply.Inhaling slowly and deeply. Then exhaling slowly and deeply.I am begining to control my stress hormones. This morning i achieved a big thing for me.I have to fill in an employers pll and file it online.Sounds easy. But boy the tax office make everything difficult.I was on the phone 25 minutes three times this morning. As the tax office have changed everything.Normally i would get stressed.this then makes my brain go blank. Then i get worked up and get upset.this morning i kept doing my breathing.Calming self chat.Wow i actually listened to an online advisor for half an hour.did everything she said on the computer to download and transfer files.I then did my online submission.Normally at this point i get stressed and jack it in untill my husband comes home or call a friend. No i did it all.Even got my confirmation of a correct submission.I than rang the accounts another 20 min wait.My insistance they could register my nil return.Which the woman did eventually do.Wow i felt great after.Stress management is so important.

St John's Wort, Kalms, Menopace, Vitamin B6 - all good. There are also excellent recipes in a book called "Eat Smart, Beat The Menopause" by Jane Frank - for those of us who don't want to go down the HRT road. I highly recommend it - Jane also has a website I think, she is a Nutritionist who suffered an early menopause herself and really knows what she is talking about.
I have always found the HMRC people really helpful, as soon as I say I am retired they explain things VERY CLEARLY (!) but getting through.....now that is another matter. One tip if you are "on hold" is - put the phone on loudspeaker and play an online game while you are waiting!

Hi souter i didnt know how to put the phone on loudspeaker and worried if i pressed the wrong buttons i would cut myself off.I must learn wich button is the loud speaker button............I am on menopace and vit b6 also very healthy diet.So hopefully with my new ideas i will beat it.I also have chamomile tea every night b4 bed. This stress is purely hormonal ,mr anxiety keeps creeping in too.Totally against my normal personality.
