I've just watched a program on the travel channel on the Castl/Romantic Route in Bavaria. Of course it's a short program so not very (The World Greatest Motorcycle rides) so it's seen from a different perspective. Anyone of you perhaps did this route? Beautiful medieval villages feature in this program, and it looks quite inviting! x

I think some of it goes through our area here, Crocus.

Hi BW, the country and villages shown in this program were so beautiful - I told OH I won't at all mind driving this route. But of course not on a motor cycle, car I think will be best.....
A church got mentioned which apparently is in a world heritage site, but I couldn't get the name unfortunately. The paintings inside are delightful.

There are a lot of very interesting churches in this area. One is in Gößweinstein (people go there on pilgrimages) But I don't know if this church was mentioned in your programme. But you can google it.

Thanks BW, fortunately I didn't hear the church's name or the village actually, only that it is in a world heritage site. I've googled it, and it does look familiar though. x

it al sounds very romantic and mysterious.I once travelled through France on a coachtrip to Spain. At six in the morning we were driving past these chateuxs up on high cliffs with a thick mist hanging all around them.It was fascinating viewing.
