Annie Groves is another of my favourite writers . I read three of her books all about the Campion family recently and how their lives were led during the war years. I was in Asda today and by chance spotted her new book which follows on about this family . Called " When The Lights Go On Again" As I have just finished a book will start on this one tonight .xx

I can't read of stories set in and between the wars. I find them upsetting as most characters are poor and have great hardships to overcome.

Not all of her books are about this Gen . This is just a series of I think it was 4 books following the lives of one family .

H Gen, I agree, it is upsetting actually, but the way they manage and overcome the hardships is quite an eye opener. Okay it's only stories, but I think a lot of it is based on the truth, or stuff which happened in childhood years.

People during the war years all became so close looked out for each other and made the best of it all. I agree a lot of it is very sad but the books are mainly about just how one family each played their part for their country.
