I think I'm Coming Down With A Cold!

Oh dear. I'm not one who usually catches a cold, but my throat stings, my eyes sting, I'm sneezing more than usual. So may this mean I'm coming down with a cold?:eek:

Get Hubby to buy you some stem ginger and lemons, cut a piece of ginger , roughly the size of the last thumb joint slice it and pour 1/2 liter of water 3 minutes after boiling over it leave to infuse. Press the juice of half a lemon add when the tea is at blood temperature and drink . It won't stop the cold coming but it will make it go away easier.

Ah thanks Ivy, I've got both stem ginger and lemons in the fridge (use it quite a lot in food etc.). An aunt always made a mixture with ginger and lemons, but she added honey as well I think. She usually gave it to her children when they had bronchitis or a bad cough.

Honey is good too! But like lemon never heat over blood temperature as parts of the vitamins are heat sensitive.

Hope the headache cleared away now. Otherwise take some Aspirin, put your legs up and let the boys spoil you. ( self-declared mother's day or so)

Hi Ivy, cleared up yes. Boys are in and out and up and down the house, then the mates clock in, then they're all gone to a friend again, one has just left to go and visit his best friend, so there's no such thing as getting spoiled by the boys! I rather like the self-declared mother's day .......... xx
