At the moment we are waiting for my old mobile hairdresser to call to put colour on. I have changed back to having it done at home because at the shop they keep me bending over the basin too long and it affects my neck and if you recall I suffered from vertigo last time.:(
I also can't lay on a back wash because of my op, so back to mobile.
Do any of you use a mobile hairdresser or any other home service? X

We have our milk delivered, but that's all. I don't like the idea of mobile hairdressers, Sheddie, ever since my mum got one to come and perm my hair when I was six. She was determined to have a daughter with curly hair for some reason, but the local salons wouldn't perm a child's hair. The poor hairdresser came round and did the deed (with her sons who were in my class at school sniggering in her van), and when I saw the results I screamed my head off - it was a mass of tight curls with a Margaret Thatcher quiff at the front, just like old ladies had back then. I had to go to school the next day and wouldn't take my hat off, and had to endure months of my mum pin and rag-curling it at night "to hold the shape" too! I sort of see mobile hairdressers in the same light as mobile dentists - not me thanks!
OH's brother was a hairdresser for a number of years and still does the occasional wedding hairstyling marathon, although he is now a graphics teacher. When he was a newly qualified hairdresser he started his own mobile salon, and had some absolutely hilarious and horrible stories to tell about some of the women and their homes. So beware...

My mother can't walk very well anymore and she lives in a flat on the 2nd floor. So she hardly ever leaves her flat these days. Therefore a hairdresser comes to her once a week to do her hair. Thank goodness. There's nobody who could do it as I live on the other end of the country.
