logged off!!!

Hi Oola. Every time I take more than 3 minutes to reply or write a thread I get logged off and cannot submit. I have just had two pieces lost because I went to submit and found I had been logged off yet again. Is there anything you can do about this? Hope so. xx

Just had this problem and lost an essay i wrote about hugh's chickens dont know oola if it can be retieved

I'm sure it's something to do with a pre-set timeout that logs off automatically. I'll look into it for both of you, see if I can change the settings somehow x

Hi ladies, I had a look and it seems that the timeout sessions are currently set at logging off automatically after a period of 15 mins of inactivity. Doesn't really fit with sunflower's problem, but I've changed this to 25 mins to see if it makes any difference. If you're still having the same problem I'll have another go at fixing it.

Are both of you using Mozilla Firefox, and do you have your cookies enabled? You can find out by going to your Tools > Options > Privacy Tab > Cookies (check the box that says accept cookies from sites).

Hi Oola that would fit then my problem as it probably took me longer than 15 mins to write my reply thanks for looking into it and setting a longer time as i am not that quick at typing.

I keep getting logged off too. I open up all the forums where I post and keep them open on my tabs, so that I can dip in and out when I have five minutes. Some, I never log off from at all, I just click and I'm in. I don't have time to keep logging on! Can it be altered in any way to enable me, and others, to be not logged off unless we are shutting down for the night?

Hi Rustick Pumpkin

Have you tried checking the 'Remember Me' box when you initially log in? You may find this helps. I'm not around for a few days but let me know if it helps or not
