Finished now and here it is, I must say I'm thrilled with the results and shall use the mats on Wednesday for a lunch party.

No wonder you are pleased Gen, your tea cosy looks lovely alongside the placemats. Your stitching is really neat, as any wobbly bits would show up on such a linear design. I love that log cabin design, it reminds me of the Laura Ingles-Wilder books.

Grief woman, are there no ends to your talents and ingenuity. Love the cosy, are you taking orders for them? Did you rotary cut the strips Gen. and your machine must be good to take the double thickness.

gen you are very talened and atistic......i just dont have the patience....i have picked a pattern for my sister to knit me a tea cosy for christmas.tea cosys are back in vogue

They are great Gentian. Are these the ones made from old jeans? They look lovely in just two colours.

What a good idea. I would like to try it but I don't think my old singer hand machine will take the thickness.
