Does anyone have any good remedies for this my husband and daughter are sufferers.
The best thing I have found is good old Vicks. Bowl of steamy water, spoonful of Vicks, towel over the head. Vicks all over after a hot bath works well too, there is a milder one called Happinose which you can put around your nose and it isn't as strong on the old eyes. The nasal sprays can be effective too, they do take a few days to build up though. Sinutab works well, but it depends on how you feel about taking medication, sometimes it can make the problem worse. I have also found that a bit of facial massage moving gently along the sinuses helps. Paracetamol can help reduce the inflammation but you need to be careful when taking it with other things.
Vicks also works wonders on sniffly hens!
Hope they find something to help, it makes you feel dreadful.

Have you tried a saline solution?. I've heard saline sprays recommended highly for allergies, sinus problems and when travelling in confined spaces, over some of the popular drug remedies. Basically you just wash the nasties out. They were actually recommended for daily use too if you are prone to nasal type problems. There is also something that is available in some health shops too apparantly, it's called a Nose Bidet - seriously, not joking -
do a Google search for Netti Pot and several sites should come up. Hope this helps. Netti Pots - sounds like a nice old nanny type person (sorry rambling:D:D:D)
