Hmm, my trouble is I get the urge to start the new craft project, then the enthusiasm wanes before the end, and I end up with those UFO's.

Yes I have moods when I feel like knitting or I could have a mood for cross stitch or some other craft. I haven't done any knitting for years and fancied doing some on Saturday. I went into my craft room to get a pattern and wool and ended up spending the day tiding and sorting the spare room and never found the pattern I was looking for. The room looks a lot bigger now you can see the floor. Hopefully I will start knitting this weekend.

Franbee, at one time I always finished a project before I started another (except a large one like a quilt for the bed) but I lose interest after a while these days, it must be an age thing.

Funny Eleanor, but I have got down to some craft just lately and, like you I am determined to finish projects. I have my U3A Creative Textiles group on Thursday so am pleased I will have something to present.

Lately, I have been doing alot of embroidery. Two years ago I bought a Hessian flimsy shopping bag from M and S for two pounds. I have decided to turn this into my knitting bag. At present I am embroidering flowers and a large tree on the hessian. Then I will line it with some cheerful fabric.

You are good at card making Eleanor. You should put a photo on of them. That is a craft too.

I've got a new card design for a work colleague. When she was at my house last weekend, she had a black T-shirt on with a large red heart covered in sequins. When she had gone, I swept up all these tiny red sequins that had fallen off, and I'll make a card with a black T-shirt and stick on the sequins!

What a lovely idea Fran, she is sure to like it as she wore the t-shirt. Will you tell her where the sequins came from?

Certainly will, she knew they were all falling off!

Sounds good Franbee. Shall you paint the t-shirt or make a collage.

I'll just cut one out of black paper and stick it on a card, then decorate.

brill fran.i think making cards can be so personal. this weekend.i have made two flower power hippyish cards for my friends 50th.i also made a ben ten card for grandson.with a twist.i turned the card over and decorated spiderman on the back.so grandson can change the card on different days.this is my own idea and i think its a good one.cus kids really get into the cartoon characters .and a double card seems more fun.

Gosh ee, I remember you starting that bag! It'll be nice to see a pic when it's finished, it sounds lovely.
Glad you brought back this thread, I see I was making that card, well, I did make it, it was her birthday a couple of weeks ago, when I had my party. She was very surprised and pleased to get the card!

I have been a bit lazy lately, but I am now making a stuffed, dressed rabbit and have just finished this dress, (a bit crumpled as I wore it all day today). I was given the material by someone who didn't like it!!!

What a compliment Dinger, I am trying to diet. My mother was a diabetic because she didn't watch her weight, so I know the dangers.
