DF you are so talented with a needle, I love it all, but particularly admire the bedspread.

Those items are lovely, dragonfly. I really like the way that you have used naturalistic colours in some of your cross stitch and embroidery. Saying that, I love the cushion in Florentine stitch. I can't imagine making something as large as the bedspread. How long did it take you to make? You should get yourself a small website to show and sell your items, if you haven't already got one.

I finally finished my table centre last night and thought you might like to see a set of finger puppets I made my little neighbour for Christmas

Gentian I think I still have the pattern for the bedspread so could do you a copy if you are interested. It is knit in triangles that are sewn into a square then the squares sewn together and then an edge knitted to go all around. Although it took months to complete you can do a bit at a time. When I was in hospital a friend came to visit and bought me a magazine to read and I saw the kit for the bedspread so sent for it. I spent my convalescence making it.
Jazz I am no good at selling anything, I just enjoy making things.
Cindy I love your patchwork and finger puppets. Are the flowers appliquéd on or embroidered?

The flowers are embroidered, Dragonfly. I don't think I would have the patience knita bedspread. I have made a quilt though with machine embroidered and applique blocks. That took long enough.

I love the expressions on your finger puppets' faces, cindy. My goodness, you and DF are so prolific. I am really going to have to up my game to be able to work on something every day for my stall. As far as selling goes, whether I will be able to do it is a good question too, DF! A basic website shows what you are capable of, or just make up a page of photos on your computer of your work that you would be happy to make for sale and email out in return for people's requests. I think there is a section on the home page of RM for small businesses too, which I will be looking into...

I have tried to sell some of my work at craft fairs but have found that most people do not want to pay the price for handmade items, usually comparing the price with cheap imports. So now I just make for myself, family and friends.
