I have started to get out my bits and pieces to display for Christmas and thought you might like to see what I have made over the years.
The first one is a series of petals round a candle, then a patchwork bauble, a tree of fir cones stuck on to a cone which had wool on it and then sprayed, crocheted bells which have been stiffened with sugar and lastly the 9 table centres I did fot the WI lunch.

Those are gorgeous, gen. Doesn't it give you a lot of pleasure to see your home made things around!

Those are really nice Gentian, I particularly like the bells. I haven't had time to do any home made ones this year but shall next year when I'm retired.

Gosh, Gen, those are fab. You're very skilled. I love the crochet bells, and also the table decorations look amazing all together like that. I also like the simple look using natural materials, and used to have a wreath made of pine cone, just natural with two small red baubels at the top. They must have looked realistic, as the birds took a liking to them and over one Christmas they completely wrecked it!

Those are sooo beautiful. Especially the cone Christmas tree.Talented indeed.
Did anyone watch Kirsty Alsops Homemade Christmas this week? I thought the programmes were lovely, not just because she encouraged people to make their gifts, but also Kirsty's enthusiasm and childlike joy. It's catching!

I really enjoyed Kirstys programmes too Sunflower. Next year I am going to make a lot of Christmassy things myself.

I'm also going to make a lot of christmassy stuff next year. I've seen so many ideas, have a lot of my own ideas, so I'm really going to try and get to it. x
