I've been following these programmes on TV, and have really enjoyed their whimsical NTN content. He's been joining parties of foreign tourists visiting different parts of the UK. Tonight he's been on a Robin Hood experience, on a steam railway, a Sherlock Holmes murder mystery evening, and a Jane Austin experience. He also takes a party on his own outing. Tonight he's visiting Liverpool.

That sounds very interesting Fran, kind of being a tourist with a twist in the tale.

Eeee, they have finished now, there were 3 altogether on ITV1. You should be able to catch them on the ITV website. Crocus, can you get our TV websites? BBC.co.uk or ITV

I watched them, fran, and found them really enjoyable and opened my eyes to more of what is available around the country. I like John Sergeant's style of presentation.

It depends which programs are purchased by our satellite TV company from the BBC Fran. xx

But is it not world wide web? (I'm not very good at this stuff!)

Hi Fran, the internet is using world wide web yes, but our TV company uses a propriety satellite network, very much the same as your Sky Network in the UK.

Can you access BBC iPlayer? I watch loads of TV that way as I regularly miss progs and no longer bother recording anything. I think it's brilliant and have been known to take the laptop up to bed to snuggle down with a favourite!

Hi SG, I'm not sure actually - will ask OH, probably not now though, he's fast asleep!
I checked Google SG and this is what I could find:
"The BBC restricts access to its iPlayer service by checking the physical location of the Internet provider you are using to connect to the Net. If it's based in the UK you will be able to view, if it isn't then they block you from viewing. It is as simple as that!
All you require to watch BBC iPlayer abroad is make it seem like you are located in the United Kingdom."

Hi Fran, I copied the above from Google and it's for people living outside the UK.
