I have a large collection of cards, lots were sent to my children from my Mum, some are ones bought by my Auntie when she was on holiday.

I've made quite a few of my own Eleanor, and I was asked by my cleaning lady if I would mind doing a demonstration for her and a lot of her friends on papier mache work, some cards that I made and also fabric painting. My nerves almost went, but to be honest I enjoyed it quite a lot. I made quite a few cards for baby showers, for Father's Day, and Mother's Day. But it took some thinking, I can tell you! In a local magazine I saw some lovely ideas on card making.

I'll be making all my own as usual. I usually have a mad session a couple of evenings in November. I've got all the bits and pieces, just need to put them together.

fran isnt it great making them personal.i look at my cards when they are finished and think that suits so and so.
thanks dinger.you dont really see many victorian cards around unless they are collectors.i just think how nice to make really special victorian style cards now.show em we stil have a creative mind in 2009.in victorian times women either worked themselves to death if they were poor.or sat doing crafts and entertaining if they were rich.we have the blessing of time and money to do crafts however rich or poor we are.we should make the most of it.

I have never made home made cards except cross stitch ones. I am bored at work so yesterday I started to sew a Christmas card that I might send to Eleanor. I could make a lot more if I didn't spend my spare time on RM.
