Do you change your rooms at all in Winter to make them more cosy?:)
I always get my red and gold chenille tablecloth out and tartan rugs, candles etc.
So tell us about your home. X:)

No I don't sheddie but perhaps I should for I soon get bored with the same things all the time. The only time I change things is at Christmas (only 8 weeks away).

I don't either Sheds, but it sounds like a very good idea. Especially with you guys celebrating the Christmas season during winter. Your winters are much colder than ours as well which makes it worth while to change to chenille and tartan - sounds lovely and cosy! xxx

I don't change the furnishing, but I do rearrange the room.

Don't do anything special at any time, but maybe change things a bit if guests are coming.

Actually, I have made a change. I was storing my Mum's victorian corner cupboard, which none of us had space for. I emailed my cousin who has the Manor House, if you recall, the one that belonged to our ancestor in 1672, and told him I would deliver it sometime. Well, we did deliver it on Friday. He and his wife were very pleased, and now they have a huge extension, will have plenty of space for it. And no sheddie, it was only worth £40.

Apparently people don't want brown furniture now. if the cupboard had been Georgian and curved front, it might have been worth more. We didn't want to sell it for £40 so it has gone to a good home where it will be appreciated and looked after, and I can go and see it any time!

Admitted brown furniture has been out of vogue for quite some time now but if a nice solid piece of oak should be ok. X

We've got an Oregan Pine tv cabinet but I can't take the look anymore. Was thinking of having it sanded down and maybe giving it a French look. The same with a ball and claw dressing table which belonged to my parents' many many moons ago. The shape is fine, but I don't like the brown wood anymore. I do feel guilty of wanting to change it though.

Crocus it is better to change it than live with something you don't like.
