We stayed on a campsite at a farm in a lovely village, it was just a short walk down to the pub.
1. we walked past this row of cottages, next to the river.
2,3 and 4 are in Leek, there are lots of antique shops there

Hi Fran! What lovely photos - I love the second one, the Tudor architecture. We travelled through Leek way back on our first visit, even bought one of these portable barbeques at a hardware store as OH had to have his barbeque!

The film 'the Duchess' was filmed here.
The people with the tents were a group re-enacting a skirmish between the Scots and the English during the Jacobite rebellion.

Fran my parents live in Leek just around the corner from your 3rd picture and Eleanor used to live there too. We only live a few miles from Kedleston Hall so have been a few times. They often have antique fairs there and sometimes they film Bargain Hunt there. It makes me realise what a small world it is when we have visited the same places especially as Crocus all the way from SA might have been in Leek the same time us.

Lovely pictures Fran and not a drop of rain was depicted, hope that was true for the whole weekend.

We missed most of the rain, and it was warm, sunny and blowy the morning we left, just right for drying off the tent!
Didn't see those tea rooms, eee, or the library, we went in the White Hart opposite the TI office.

Hi DF, most probably we saw each other not knowing! Small world indeed.
