My friend has got swine flu!!!

I received a text tonight saying my friend has this awful flu.:eek:

It is even more worrying because she already lives with a life threatening illness.

I shall write but not go visiting, on the local news tonight a local GP has died with it and a 6 year old girl at a local school in the last 4 days.. X

That's sad Sheddie, but of course you must keep away, phone calls and letters will help her.

Oh no, what a shame for your friend, sheddie. It is very sad that this flu seems to attack people with other underlying illnesses quite badly. It is best to stay away from visiting her as you aren't too healthy at the moment yourself, sheddie, and I'm sure that your friend knows about the risks associated and will understand. Letters and phonecalls can sometimes be easier and more meaningful for people when they aren't well, anyway. I hope that your friend recovers quickly.

So sad to know this lady has caught this illness. She is so so brave and even though she is very ill anyway still carries on as if there is nothing wrong with her . Like Sheds I think she is amazing and has such willpower it is unbelieveable .I do hope she will get through this .

Oh dear. This really is a worrying illness. I've noticed on Sky News about the dr and school girl Sheds. It is very sad actually. I just hope this friend of yours can get over it. Keep us posted eh? xxx
