While at Sidmouth we took the local bus to Exeter, thank goodness for bus passes and have some photos for you. Unfortunately the cathedral had tarpaulin and scaffolding.
The first is known as The Exeter Puzzle and the clues are written in mirror writing so you read the reflection. One of the buildings in the third picture is dated 1169. The last is the guildhall.

I'm impressed, gen, never been to Exeter but it looks like it needs to go on the list.

Wow, I'm just as impressed Gen - those buildings are really something eh? We've been in Exeter long ago, can't remember a lot though. Thanks for the piccies! xx

If you do go Fran, be sure and go down to the docks, there is so much to see there as it has been restored.
