:(For the last 3 days i have had terrible pain in my little finger and the finger next to it. i have had to remove my wedding ring etc. which i hate having to do.
You know when you have been out in the freezing cold and your hands are so cold you actually feel pain in them, this is what the pain in the whole of my 2 fingers are like, yet my hands are warm.
It's that bad they have been keeping me awake at night with the pain, any ideas what it could be.? it's really getting me down.:(

The weather has turned a lot cooler and wetter, could it be connected, like rheumatism? Or have you been in the garden and perhaps reacting to something which might have scratched you? I used to find rose thorns set off my arthritis. Try something like Voltarol/Ibuleve gel and see if it helps. If it is arthritis/rheumatism you should notice an improvement.

If it is in the joints Bonnie try squeezing hard untill it really hurts this reduces swelling and also eases the pain if it is arthritis . I also have painful fingers and do this as often as I can and it does help a lot.

I used to have painful thumbs until I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid and this improved with treatment, as did all my joints

I have tried squeezing dinger but it has made no difference. the pain isn't just in the joints of my fingers, it's in the whole of the fingers. but my hands are still warm.

Perhaps you should go and see the dr Bonnie? There must be a reason for having this pain in your fingers. xx

It might be a circulation problem Bonnie. I think you should go and see your doctor whatever it is.

Have you been doing alot of sewing or knitting, or some other activity where your fingers are kept in a certain position? It may not be even when you have been using those fingers but perhaps they have been very still during an activity using your other fingers and thumbs. Iboprufen is an anti-immflam. So take those three times a day. In the meantime look back and see if your have been doing something different. Hope you soon feel better.
