i read kate moss first best seller labyrynth it is fantastic.about the cathars in france ,carcassone etc. i have noticed her new book is out sepulchre it had a good read up in the paper.£18 is a bit steep for a novel.so i got wait till it goes on sale or i find one in the charity shop.i have seen labyrynth in many charity shops.it is a good murder mystery as well as historical novel.

Hi Eleanor - thanks for the tip about charity shops. I get mine by ordering in the library - they do make a charge and mine has gone up to £1 but worth it, especially if you either don't enjoy the book and don't want to keep it.

I too thought that Labyrinth was a great read and am looking forward to reading Sepulchre. I've been dropping hints so maybe I'll get it for christmas if not I'll wait till its out in paperback.

hi serenity i dropped a hint to hubby to.thing is i dropped a few hints for things and can only have so much.so i'll wait for paper back or charity shop. trouble is i'm also waiting for the 4th book in wilber smiths egyptian series.wow they are great unput downable.only seen it in hard back at the moment.tell you what i love getting a good hard back from the charity shop of my fave books.when you know they are about £18 new.

I've not read any of Wilber Smith's, I'll look out for them. My Grandma (who is 80 in March!) works in a charity shop and I'll often ask her to look out for books coming in.

serenity river God is the first in the egyptian series. if you like to learn history as you read.well in these books you live history.i am there with all the characters.wilbur smith brings everything alive.

Amazon have good deals you may find it cheaper if you cannot wait to read it. I must say I have not read either, but I have heard they are good books, will have to check them out and maybe put it on my wish list at Amazon.
I brought "Jamie Oliver at home" it was selling £20.00 in retail shops but I got it £12 or £15 on Amazon, but better price.

hi h h i will read my pile of books to read.then hopefully these books will be in the charity shops.i will nip on amazon tho sounds interesting.are they actually new books by the way.

I buy alot of books through Amazon, mainly reference ones or gifts. Have you tried Ebay for books? I have had some great bargins from there.

i havn't tried e-bay for anything yet.hubby is always on there but i dont know if i want to start using it.i love charity shopping.

managed to get wilbur smiths new egyptian book. warlock. £1.25 from the mind shop. a real bargain.
