Dartmouth Part2

:)Hi all,
We have decided to visit Devon for our main holiday next year and after reading the earlier postings about Dartmouth thought that you were the ladies to help!
From what you have all said the Dartmouth area sounds perfect with lots of places to visit. We will be going in August with our caravan but are not sure of where to base ourselves. We would like to be near a good beach for our son, so wondered if anyone could advise where the best beaches are? Any other info about the area would be appreciated.

My map shows plenty of caravan sites in the area, but we had cottages, at Goodrington and Hallsands. I put quite a lot of info on the previous thread. The best sands are probably at Blackpool, but you have to pay to go on there. Fran.

We stayed at a camping site not far from Dartmouth, but I'll be blowed if I can remember the name!!!! I'll have a look online and see if anything jogs my memory. All I remember was that the site backed onto a farm, with a hill and some (not very noisy) pigs.

Thanks for that, I've booked for Slapton for the first two weeks in August- I know its a long way off but I can't wait!
