Ahhh the weekend, for the first time I have a quite weekend. Ken is going up to see his family on Saturday and staying over, so for me I shall go and breakfast at my local coffee shop, then come home and do some baking and hopefully some gardening. Catch up on some letter writing. In the evening sit in front of the TV with my new jimmy -jams onwith a Chilli for my supper and watch Strictly come dancing, which I like to watch. I love dancing and wished I could be that good. Do some knitting and then too bed with my book. Oh heaven. Sunday Ken will be back down and it will be just me and him for lunch and a nice long walk with Jack.

What is everone else up too? :D

Hi HH, got my sister here for a visit, so we'll be going to the seaside tomorrow for a coffee or something. Tomorrow evening it's bbq night. Sunday is the last day of Sunday School and then of course, Monday the boys' EXAMS starts (until end November)! So in a way I want this weekend to not be, but again this weekend it's only 4 weeks before we leave for the UK!

Oh Healing Hands, your Saturday sounds Bliss!! I'm working to day, but hopefully will have time when I leave to visit TK Max for some Christmas shopping. They often sell lovely Italian leather bound note books which I love to buy for my third Son who writes poetry. On Sunday, we hope to take the Grandchildren out somewhere which will be great.
Enjoy your weekend everybody and have a lovely time with your Sister Crocus x

We will be working on the house today but tonight we are having a bonfire party for our family, both sets of parents are coming over so our son will be in his element - grandparents AND fireworks. Tommorrow it will be back to the rennovations and in the evening we've been invited to another bonfire party (i bet its not as good as the one planned here!)
Hope you all have good weekends x

quiet morning in for me.hubby gone help put central heating in church hall.grandson later, so all quietness will be out of the window.health visitor sends out packs now about road safety.every few months we get a book and stickers.apparently boys are more likely to get hurt and killed in car accidents than girls.so they have this new initiative to promote road safety.we will do that this afternoon.church tomorrow with a nice warm church hall hopefully.

I have been preparing the way for a new(second hand) computer which my daughter's husband will install for me next weekend when they are up to see us. I have so much to take off this one and put on the new one ,then this one is going to a friend as it still has more life in it yet.We have also been out to get something for my OH to organise all his CD's in,having found just the thing,he is now immersed in them in glorious chaos sorting them out. Now, I am going to make tea.Nothing much else has been done today, but they do say 'the best layed plans....'

Hi! Got a few minutes to spare. About the fun - sister's 20 years my senior, and we are completely different. Her views also are so different from mine. I always say the only thing that make us sisters, is the fact that we have the same parents! Otherwise there's not very much that we share. Our decorating taste are totally different, as is our taste in clothes, even up to how we cook! I still have a complete and full household, whereas she is a widow with grown up children. At one stage we had quite a lot in common, but in the past few years, I realised we don't really share anything anymore. It's sad actually. But in general, we do cope!
