View Full Version : A bit over brochured
As Hyacynth Bouquet might not say. A brochure/catalogue arrives in the post, I order from it. Before the goods arrive a second catalogue arrives. The goods arrive accompanied by guess what-another catalogue. I feel beseiged and the recycling box is the only thing to benefit. Boden and the White Company are especially enthusiastic.

Yes I agree, Boden catalogues do arrive on a frequent basis which wouldn't be so bad if they differed but often they're exactly the same as the one that arrived a few weeks earlier - just with a different cover.
Whichever Mag I open brochures everywhere even the dayly newspaper is full of it .
I agree with you about Boden had two nearly identical catalogues one saying Herbs(Autmn) one saying winter....
Why don't you send the brochure back with a covering letter? :)
Good idea Oola, I may well try that.
I would run out of funds as I would have to pay the postage
Most of them are not deliverd through the post but through mags and newspapers and thus can't be returned to sender.

Years ago I used to buy from Damart, in the old days before I had my own personal heating, and was beseiged by their catalogues, then by their sister catalogues, and others. They seem to have stopped sending now, in fact I've not even seen adverts for their stuff at all. I think the theory of the marketing is to make sure that the company is always in your thoughts!

Most of our recycled paper is unwanted brochures and magazine inserts. I also run a policy of not buying from firms that annoy me and having to recycle unwanted brochures is annoying (what a waste of trees!). So they'll get no trade from me.
