Hi all,

Well, I am all ready and have made some coconut ice with real vanilla pods, and some chocolate truffles the size of cricket balls flavoured with fresh orange, and the dog is dressed in a fancy collar with a spider clasp for the occasion. However, my neighbour has just told me that there will be no child 'guizers' this evening, as last year a man in the village shouted at them all and called their mothers beggars! So the school decided not to arrange it this year. Oh! well, yet another couple of stone to add to my already ample frame - should have stuck to apples.

Gosh, you've been busy. Have fun eating your goodies. Just off to the shops in a minute to buy some little treats......you reminded me!!

I'll pop up to Scotland and help you out..although I do not think it will do my migraine any good. I have already had a few trick or treaters...the little darlings...

Well, as it turns out some of the local parents have organised the guizing instead of the school, so my waistline is safe. However, I now have just 2 pieces of coconut ice left and I can hear more 'trick or treating' going on at houses up the road and coming in muy direction. What would you do at this stage? Shall I hand out the coconut ice to the next pair and then give money, or eat it myself and just give money? Please help, quick...

Thanks, Sheddie, well said. Down the hatch now - I can hear next door's front door bell going...
