i like to go in the health shop when i go to town.i buy all sorts.herbal teas.barley cup, herbal supplements, healthy drinks, essential oils.the other day my daughter came home with some special detox pads.they are like chinese medicine. you stick one under your foot for 14 nights.middle of right foot.liver meridian or something like that.it uses the permeability of the skin to draw out toxins.first night it comes off black and slimy.by 14th night it should get clearer.i had one to try it came off next morning black and slimy. they are £24 a box. so i will have to wait for a treat time. i want some dead sea salts as well.i was wondering how many of us use health shop products.do they help and are they worth the money. i have started making chamomile tea my and hubbys night cap.i really think it helps restful sleep.

What is the black slime and what does it indicate? Do you mean you cannot wash your feet for 14 days? Ugg!

no it works like a compress.you take the pad off each morning.then put a new one on each night.the black slime is toxins drawn through your skin by the ingredients in the pad. as you progress through the course the pad should get cleaner.hence you are purifying your system.
Wow sounds pretty good. Do you feel any different at all? I know sometimes if you do a detox diet it can make you feel pretty rubbish for the first few days.

i just had one of daughters pads.i will by my own when a treat mood comes on me. daughter said after a few days she had an headache.so it could be working. i think it is probably a feasable idea. herbal compresses are very good. these pads have some strong ingredients in. when i try them properly i will give an update. i use complementary health aids wherever possible.

Hi eleanor2, last year I went into the small health shop that I go to regularly and they had a huge promotion on to celebrate 25 years of opening. They were giving away full size Jason products and, as well as soap, hand cream and insect repellent, I was also given a pack of those footpads that you describe. It felt like Christmas and I wasn't expecting it. I used the foot pads and they worked exactly as you described. I am not sure if I felt really detoxed after 14 days, but I enjoyed using them and looking at the level of toxins improving.
I regularly add the health shop to my shopping itinerary. I buy shampoo and conditioner, and organic nuts and lemons, plus herbal teas.

I buy essential oils, green tea, organic nuts, dried fruit etc. and yogurt raisins, not sure how healthy the coating is, but they taste yummy!
The food pads mentioned above sound interesting, a bit expensive for me but I suppose if they work they're worth it.

Hi Eleanor, I've been drinking aloe vera juice for a couple of months now, just a few ounces a day. It's supposed to aid digestion, help with inflammation etc. I tried probiotics and wasn't too sure if they were doing anything other than give me upset stomach :(. I find the av juice very soothing. I'm guessing it's supposed to work like digestive enzymes. Have you tried it or know anything about it?

hi keepers.yes i have had aloe vera juice.it is good for inflamation of the bowels and cleansing i think.it does not really work like digestive enzymes as far as i know.i use probiotics that are enteric coated.they dont break down till they get in your bowel.so you get all the benefit.digestive enzymes actually work to break down food particles before they get to the bowel.it is badly digested food that feeds the bad bacteria in the bowel and can cause bloating.
