I heard a segment on TV this morning about a study that was conducted researching people who suffer from bad dreams. If you suffer from unpleasant dreams they have found that putting some fresh flowers beside your bed will help ensure good dreams. They put flowers beside the beds of study participants when they were already asleep and found they experienced happy dreams. Those who had bad eggs put beside their beds had bad dreams . Apparently, it's because the sense of smell goes to the higher regions of the brain which control dreams.

Wishing you Sweet Dreams

Oh what a lovely bouquet KD! I'll put it beside my bed because it's so feminine and pretty! I had quite nightmares last night, perhaps because Mr C and son is not here. Hopefully it will go better tonight. xx

Sorry you didn't sleep well Crocus. As you say probably missing hubby and son and anxious about your son's competition tomorrow. Now stop fretting about spiders and put a little vase of lavendar beside your bed. Sweet dreams x

What a good idea. I am going to give it a try as I sometimes have bad dreams, usually when I have eaten meat at night. Do you think it would work with essential oils?

Probably Dragonfly, I do think there is something so lovely about a little vase of flowers by the bed, something so English somehow. I don't have a garden here otherwise i would always try and have a little flower or something by the bed. On my daughter's birthday I always buy her a bunch of flowers and try and out them by her bed so it's the first thing she sees when she wakes up. Do you have a favourite flower?

Keepersdaughter I love most flowers but mainly daffodils in spring and dahlias in summer and autumn.
I don't like picking flowers for the house as they die to soon and drop leaves and petals all over the place, and I like to see them in the garden. Shop bought ones are expensive and don't last long. I prefer to have plants indoors as they last longer. I have had an orchid in flower for nearly six months and I very rarely water it and never feed it I can't believe how good it is.

Goodness KD, these pictures are something eh? Lovely, thanks. Perhaps I should put some of my lavender beside my bed tonight. See if it works. Thanks for the tip.
I love having flowers in the house, it somehow softens the hard lines of the furniture and walls. xx
