Hi Souter Girl, my photos all are in the file called "My Pictures" on my laptop.

1. Click on "Go Advanced (just next to "Post Quick Reply).

2. Scroll down, click on "Manage Attachments".

3. In the window click on "Browse" - it takes you to file "My Pictures".

4. Select picture, click on it.

5. Then click on "open" (bottom right corner of window.

6. This takes you back to window with "browse" in it.

7. Click on "upload".

8. Once you notice pic has been uploaded, close window.

9. Now you're back in "Go advanced"

10. Click on icon resembling paper clip.

11. Another small window appears, also "manage attachments" with "image" just below.

12. Click in "image" and your pic will appear as "attach"

13. Then submit and your pic should appear on site. xxx

Oh Crocus, perhaps you could help me. It's not just in a normal post (although perhaps I ought to try that to see if I get the same problem) It's in my Blog about the Falklands. I did the 'manage attachments' thing that you describe, selected the photo from my pictures and ,after ages, got a message to say the pictures were bigger than allowed. Oola kindly resized them for me and sent them back, saying they would work, but I still got the same message. For one photo - and I want to post about half a dozen! I wondered if it was becasue, here in the Falklands, the upload/download limit is restrictive, but I've sent up to 5 photos in emails from here. Any suggestions? I wondered about zipping them, but not everyone has the same unzipping software and, in any case, no-one else seems to have to do it on RM.

Hi JG, I'm not quite sure about this. My pictures are all resized to 800 x 600. I'll try and found out and let you know. xx

Yes, Crocus, I followed that instruction of yours, to resize to 800 x 600 and that is what worked for me. What I do now is take the largest side down to 800 and leave the smaller side to automatically resize itself leaving the ratio locked.
