I took my daughter's little dog to the groomers this week. He always comes home with a slightly different attitude, probably because they put a girly bow in his hair. I found him wandering around the dining room table, intrigued by the little pumpkins. I think he thought they were turtles as he often mistakes rocks for turtles out on walks. For 10lb nothing of mostly fluff he has a lot of personality. Who rules the roost in your house?

Sadly,we don't have "four legs " to rule the roost any more, but when we did,he was a rescue dog who could never quite believe his luck that someone loved him for all his problems bless him.He was great company and a real character but we only had him for two and a half years, however during that time,he was so generous with his 'ruling of the roost'.
Love the picture of your daughter's dog keepersdaughter,he looks a real character,a real fun dog.

Eleanor, its it a matter of the joys of "grannyhood" here! Memories are made in this process.

Our cats, siblings, whom we inherited from our previous next door neighbour. They have the best chairs in the house, the lion's share of the bed and when they snap their paws, food arrives! They always bring a smile with their antics.

Wish I could put a picture on of Jess now she has had her eye operation, but I can't get to grips how to do it? Love all your pictures.

I got Jess from a dog handler, not a nice place but a woman that sold dogs that hadn't reached rescue homes because they were still worth money. She was in her garage with others and only 6months old, she had already had 4 owners, who I can only asume didn't want to pay for her eye operation. She had like a red growth on it and looked like she hadn't got a soul!! I tried to walk away but couldn't and scooped her up into my arms and paid and took her home. With love and kindness she has blossomed into such a happy dog and loves me to bits.We had the operation done and now you can't even see where it was, they said it may come back but if it does i shall deal with it again.I love her so much and couldn't imagine life without her, she is 18mnths now. The become your children eventually. Pinky has quite a large growth under her left front paw. The vet says the anaesthetic can cause her to die, but what's the alternative? If this is just left to grow bigger, it surely will change into cancer and she will suffer much pain and that I cannot and won't allow. To have the op and then perhaps die as a resul, is a difficult decision at this stage. She still so up and about, thinks she's the boss but in quite a tranquil way. It will be a sad day when she dies. I don't want to think about it. I must take her back to the vet to see what he suggests. I just don't want her to suffer.
