What a miserable day, it hasnt even got light properly, what do you do when its like this, to cheer up the day. I like to put something warm and cosy to eat in the slow cooker-Today its chicken stew & Dumplings with mash. and light the candles, snuggle up in a throw and watch TV. Maybe a drama or two!

Oola, have a glass of wine, chill out and whatever it is that has put you in a foul mood, banish it from your mind and while you are having a glass of wine, bake something tasty---you enjoy baking don't you?---- whatever is getting at you is not worthy of your time, there will be something better around the next corner.Am sending positive vibes and happy thoughts to you,so cheer up!

Hope your mood is now a lot less foul Oola,I guess if you tried even half of these suggestions, you will either plastered,or putting on weight by the minute!!.I suppose we all have to experience the lows to appreciate the highs, but it's not much fun being fed up is it.

Oola
26-10-2007, 11:14 AM
No it's no fun at all! :)

Feeling a little less harassed today...I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping (due to worries + back problems) and decided to get up and stay up early this morning in the hope that come this evening, I shall be thoroughly knackered.

I think sometimes I need to have a day of being like a sulky teenager to get it out of my system, today I now feel like I can be a bit more constructive, rather than moping around!!!!! :) And I did eat chocolate and get out of the house, I considered baking but have run out of baking powder. Ah well!

Oola, Glad to hear your feeling in better spirits and not the intoxicating ones! lol x
Im rather stressed today, have people viewing the house today and this is the bit i hate, cleaning and tiding and for nothing i bet! i try to keep on top of things but for some reason when people are coming to view you treat them like its royalty. too many bl..dy house programmes are to blame for this! anyway i'd better chill i thinks or i may crack under the strain..lol

Hi Ma Larkin, it is quite stressful eh? To tidy up all the time, see to it that everything is where it should be, for viewers that may or may not buy! When we sold our house to move down here, goodness, it was just people all over the place all the time. At that stage the twins were quite young yet, well 9 years old and Jaco was 16. Eventually we asked the agents to please make an appointment before they bring along the viewers so that least we had a half an hour or so to just tidy up a bit. "Treat them like royalty" - perhaps because one hopes that this may be the couple who will buy the house! I think what agents can perhaps take into account, is that 'normal' households are'nt always in tip top tidy condition. It may be easier if potential buyers could also take this into account. Best wishes with the viewings. Just don't crack - you've got a very important appointment on the 22nd of December! And with us as well!

Thanks Crocus,

All is tidy now, well as best as it will be! They do make an appiontment to see the house but what really gets me is people who dont read the details properly first and then have the cheeks to say oh it not what we expected!! Like the size of the rooms!!! when its says 10Ft by 12 Ft its not pretending to be 20 by 20 is it Derrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
well im off to take kids to Mac Donalds for Tea and sod the diet im going to join them!

'Minging' around here means ugly...as in "check it out, that bird is MINGING!", making the woman a 'minger'. Down with the kids, me.....

Urban dictionary is also a fountain of information: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=minging

Hi, I've learnt something new today!

Rose
27-10-2007, 04:43 PM
So have I. The term "hippocrocadilapig" was an eye opener. I'm dying to use it now when I speak to my daughter - she will laugh so hard to hear me saying things like that!
Although she might ban me from Rural Muse for a while!

My daughter laughs at all sorts of things I come out with about RM.It's all good fun though isn't it?

Rose
27-10-2007, 04:50 PM
It certainly is. I wish I had found something like this a long time ago. There is so much going on. After my husband died I felt so isolated and still don't really have the inclination to go out 'meeting people' but this is just what I need I think.

Never heard of hippocrocadilapig in my whole life - I'm listening and learning Sheds! Hope the old brain has enough space!!!!!

My cats are all curled up asleep and my chooks are lolling about in the greenhouse. Me? Still in my jimjams! I don't mind the rain, I just can't stand the wind AND rain.

Crocus

Weather here where we live, is quite strange! The wind blows most of the time anyway, but to still have cold fronts this time of year in a winter rainfall area, is a bit out of the ordinary. Friday was a very hot day with up to 30 deg. Saturday it was cool again, and today it's something inbetween with a southeaster blowing its head off!
