Isn't It good to know you have friends?

Sheddie, since getting to know you and all the other posties on this forum and CL, my life has picked up, you all give support when its really needed without compromising your own beliefs. That is true friendship, it just goes to show that friendship can be found in many forms, you dont have to see the person who offers the hand, just be humble enough to accept it.

I was just thinking today what a loverly bunch of flowers this lot of ladies are and what a great support network it is too. Wish there was something as cosy for all those dear souls who have lost everything in the California fires. I look around my lovely home, with my daft cats, and pussycat of a husband and count myself blessed.

Long ago we heard a programme about double negative days - we all have them I'm afraid but we have just as many double positive days, so good times are ahead Sheddie.

Yesterday I was in the depths too when i realised I hadfar too much to do before we leave for the UK on Friday. So I took myself in hand, worked flat out to get my paid work finished and then sent e-mails to all my employers saying no more contracts until the 5th November. Which means I0m on holiday a day early. So now it's a smooth run to leaving on Friday at 6 a.m. (er washing, drying, ironing, cleaning, shopping, wrapping presents, sorting out routes, getting currency, packing . . . ). I can do it!

Some things we can't control but some things we can and if we're feeling down we should try and deal with the things we can have some influence on. The world may be out to get me but if I can cuddle my cats they respond and purr and make me feel better; and I can always say no to people.

There's so much to be thankful for and when the house and garden start to get us both down, we look at the photos of what it was like when we started and instead of feeling depressed, we feel proud of all we have done so far.

So cheer up Sheddie - there's sunshine for you just round the corner (I'm sending you some).

Did you watch Catwalk Dogs the other night, sheddie? One of the characters said that she loved dogs "because they were like people with all the bad bits taken out". My Molly is a huge comfort when I'm down and everything gets on top of me. She, like Jess, is a great keeper of secrets. Sometimes there are bad bits that you just can't share for all sorts of reasons, aren't there? You are such a raiser of spirits for all of us. Hopefully between us we do the same for you. God bless.

I have just been over to CL site and the topic has been removed so someone has listened,unforunately too late to prevent our two friends being upset yet again.
I know it's hard sheddie and dinger,but try not to let them get to you because that is exactly what they want.Their comments prove that they have nothing better to do but dish out unpleasantness but it won't get them anywhere,that sort of behaviour should be treated with the contempt it deserves,emmanating as it does from people who should know better.

Dinger and Sheddie, Again I'm rather stunned at the malice and spite from a certain person. But just remember she is her own worst enemy; constantly showing her true colours. I don't think anyone is the least bit interested in what comes from her poisoness pen (or keyboard). The nastier she is the less credibity she has and the more support her unfortunate target rightly receives. I'm sure it's very hurful and so unnecessary and wrong and just so pointless. She's just one bad apple in the barrel there are far many more people out there who respect and support all you have done and are doing. Don't let her get you down, just be sure in the knowledge that what you are doing comes from love and nothing can take from that.
