Getting to know you.

Greetings!

I see we have a small but perfectly formed group here, and I am looking forward to dropping in now and again, adding my bit to the forums that take my fancy, and maybe adding something new.

Perhaps like most of the people on here, we know why we are here, and I hope for good things with no need for the stridency and unpleasantness I have heard has been on a certain other site of late. I haven't posted on it for ages, haven't even looked to be honest, but have been kept informed as to the shenanigans.

So a big THANK YOU is due to Oola for her hard work and the idea to set up something new for those of us who have no interest in point-scoring and so on, but just want to chat about what makes us tick, what gets our goat, what keeps us young, what makes us feel positively ancient too sometimes.

I see Oola has been doing most of the work so far, introducing new threads to grab our attention... let's hope I can do it justice sometimes.

So, for now...though I may just add my tuppenceworth to one or two threads before I go...looking forward to some fun and interesting chats.

And hello from me. I loved the other site at first but became so disapointed with it that I come here with new hope! Oola has done a brilliant job and I reckon we'll all get along fine and it won't go the way that one did. Moderation in all things!

Hi! and welcome Gothfairy, and everyone else whom I feel that I already know to some extent. Oola is doing a great job, and so swiftly set up too. Like most people I enjoyed the CL site at first but it was just becoming too irritating, so this one is much much better. Looking forward to chatting with you all some more.

How things have developed since this thread began. So many people have become part of RM.
I have made so many special friends, had lots of advice, fun, laughter and tears.

:) Can you remember back to when you joined RM and have the people you have come to know made an impact on your life.

Hi, how right you are Bonnie, things have developed a lot. RM made a big impact on my life. I've learned so much, listened and learned a lot, still do actually. It's about 15 months since I joined RM, before that being on CL's forum, all in all 2 years since joining any kind of forum anywhere. Like Sheds, I've made absolutely wonderful friends who had and still have an impact on my life, true friends, friends I hope for life.

RM to me is a friend, a mother, a father, a child, a sister, all in one!

I love to have new friends joining in, becoming part of RM because it's such a lovely and supportive place to be. I would also like for our friends who don't post so regularly anymore to come on and have a nice chat again on a regular basis. I miss them, would like to know how they are, what they've been up to lately etc.:)
