:confused: are bonfires still legal. we have a neighbour a few gardens away that is forever burning rubber tyres, rubbish. he has no respect for anyone who has washing out on the line. he lights them all times of the day and night.

It depends where you live. Check with your local council, here in West Devon we have different rules from nearby Plymouth.

It is worth checking with the council because burning rubber may not be acceptable in the way that say disposing of garden refuse is.

Asked my OH and he thinks it is not allowed because of the potential toxicity.
Hope you get it sorted, smoky burnt rubber air is disgusting and not very neighbourly. Where I used to live we would tell each other if we needed to burn garden refuse so washing could be taken in etc.

Have had a quick google and it looks as if maybe byelaws are not there.

Try Environmental Health at the council.
