Yep used to love California Dreaming - got the album on tape somewhere....

Today I have my aunt coming over with my little second cousins to visit the hens. Other than that, not much planned today apart from trying to sort out some work.

Hi! Yes, I do remember the song very well! So far the Monday's not to bad as Mondays go! Had a friend and her daughter here for tea this morning and I cleared out some cupbourds etc. as well. I always try to do some clearing and this time of year before the Christmas Season starts. You are very fortunate to have good news so early on a Monday morning Sheddie!

Well i've had a very productive monday so far. Decided over the weekend that it was time to turn my hobby (jewellery making) into a business so have spent all morning making plans whilst I'm fired up!. The only thing is will have to spend the rest of the day cleaning the house after knocking the upstairs ceiling down yesterday!!!

Goodness Serenity, what a job for a Monday!
I wash every day Monday to Saturday! Having teenagers, well, that says it all, doesn't it!? Even if it rains, I do washing. I'd rather have it clean and wet, than dry and dirty!

Up all night with raging temperature, but still had to go into work this morning for an eight hour shift. To cheer myself up I visited the hospital charity shop in my break. I bought, 1 soup bowl, cream background with pretty pattern, a green glass fruit bowl, and 2 amber glass 'pineapple' candlesticks. All made in 1930's and all for ....£1. 50p !!!

Hi Sunflower, that's not a good start to a new week! Hope you feel better! Especially after the "expensive shopping"!

I love that song, and anything else by the Mamas and Papas. I read a really great biography about Cass Elliot not so long ago - pity that I was too young in the 60s to appreciate it all at the time.

My Monday should have been quite high stress, but was actually quite humdrum instead. A union meeting cancelled, and a meeting with the campus Director postponed by him until Wednesday. Just preparing lectures and emailing students all day. I came home to a lovely bowl of soup and home made bread made by my partner who is now on two weeks annual leave. Who knows what tomorrow will bring...

So glad you mentioned the Mamas and Papas, because I couldn't remember who sang "Monday Monday". Thanks!

Well my day started ok and the afternoon enjoyable too, loved walking Jess in the leaves, but this evening problems have reared their ugly head. Such a shame people can't see the good in others!
