This year's Harvest

I saw a feature on our local TV (west country) last night showing sodden fields and farmers anxiously discussing their crops.
My small vege plot is distinctly soggy, lots of our potatoes have rotted and sweetcorn isn't looking too hopeful. How are our other vege growers doing this season?

The peas, beans, spinach and courgettes are fantasticly prolific, but it's a continuous fight against slugs and snails. My root vegetables are suffering particularly badly from slug damage.
