i just wrote this verse on my c.l thread.i want my thread over there end on a positive note.i thought it would go lovely on this forum.
dont count how many years you'v spent
just count the good you'v done
the times you'v lent an helping hand
the friends that you have won
count your deeds of kindness
the smiles not the tears
count all the pleasures that you'v had
but never count the years.
well ladies as we get older and wiser .this is very good advice.i have started before i get out of bed.saying to myself.what a good day.i am not letting downer feelings take hold. it is really working.positive re enforcement.having friends like all of you.positive and interesting is a pick me up to. better than a cup of coffee.

Excellent Eleanor. I totally agree. Years ago (start of menopause) I decided that I had to have a positive approach to life and although sometimes it's hard, I do my best. And in spite of my lumbago, the sun is shining, there's that cool autumn hint of a wind, the sky is blue, there are fluffy white clouds, the autumnal flowers are glowing in the sunshine and I have quince juice dripping through the jelly bag (my first home-grown quinces) and will have a few jars of jelly by this evening - and I know my back is slowly getting better - how can I not be have a positive approach?

nature has a great way of putting things in proportion and I feel like it gives me an understanding of how things, life, the universe works...even though I don't understand it all somehow it makes me feel better, positive and more relaxed!
