Dinger, can I order one from US? or should I see if my Mum can find one at her local book shop? I looked at your website. I have so much respect for all the dedication, love and hard work it must have taken to create this enchanting book.

Hi keepers daughter I would be happy to send you a book if you can E-mail me to let me know what part of the states you live in. I have sent a few already to the U.S but areas vary for the postage I would then be able to tell you exact cost. Thank you also for your kind comments .Love Dinger

Hi Dinger, will be in Wales first and then Somerset. We are battling to find a self catering cottage in Wales in the area where we want to be. We had a beautiful cottage booked and gave the bank instructions to pay the full amount. Unfortunately the bank didn't react immediately. About 10 days ago we received an email from the owner of this cottage, informing us that she in the meantime rented the cottage to another couple! We are so disappointed and if only the lady emailed us first to make sure that we are still interested, before renting the cottage out. That's after we've sent many emails to her, and she confirmed that the cottage is ours. Now we are battling to find another cottage. But we will find one. It's just the time! Anyway...

My favourite books as a child were little books about the 'Flower Fairies' the illustrations are just beautiful ,such dear little faces;I have kept those little books and my daughter loved them too,and now,she has bought me several ornaments depicting the different Fairies, and they are greatly treasured. So HH you are certainly not bonkers, like dinger says NTN perhaps but that is a status symbol!
sheddie
12-11-2007, 04:41 PM
dear HH and everyone we all need a little magic in our lives and the birth of this book has all been about magic, sometimes things happen and we don't know why? But out of heartbreak this book by hook or by crook has been done. We have never given up even when the odds have been against us, so we just keep the faith and if it makes one person happy then it's been worthwhile and it will be a lasting memento to a beautiful, dainty, sweet person, forever in our hearts, mandy X

Well crocus and all. we bought a suite that was faulty and the shop didn't want to know. So I went and sat in the front shop window on a Saturday and refused to move, I told them I would tell all customers about their bad service. They bought me cups of tea and biscuits and eventually gave us our money back for me to leave. My Dad used to say " I'll go and shout it in the library".

I am so pleased you like them also hubby .It is really nice to get feedback and know they are being enjoyed .This was my idea when writing them ,if a book is enjoyed it will be loved and cherished the same as Mandy will. I'm sure you will know exactly what I mean Crocus we have both been in the same situation .Thank you my dear friend x x x x x

Hi dinger,as a little aside to 'Mandy's Fairies' ---which I'm SO pleased is doing so well------ I read the other day that Jeremy Beadle(he of 'You've been Framed fame) has raise a huge amount of money for leukaemia research.I seem to remember that he was not all that popular when doing that program, but since he stopped appearing on tv,it seems he has raised a phenomenal sum of money for the research program, into the millions.Just shows, you can never judge someone by their TV appearances can you.
dinger
14-11-2007, 05:32 PM
No I agree Katelb I think there are many who do this sort of thing who we don't even know about .I get information from this charity often and there are lots of stars named as helpers raising funds.Chris Tarrant and Alistair Campbell.are just two I know of.

14-11-2007, 07:38 PM
Have you recognised which poem is me yet crocus ?:D
Crocus
15-11-2007, 03:47 AM
Well, "Buttercup", "The Party"!, "The Snow Fairy". I've only read up to "Buttercup" in fear that to soon I would've read it all! So a allow myself one poem a day! Then I'll start all over again. There still may be many Sheddys further on in the book eh?;)
sheddie
15-11-2007, 09:06 AM
Try no. 48 you might recognise me there. X
Crocus
15-11-2007, 12:05 PM
Yes! Definitely you Sheds x. :) That's why you are so dear to Dinger. It's like your poem, "Have you got something to look forward to".:)
sheddie
15-11-2007, 06:49 PM
So you could see the likeness then crocus! Dinger has written enough for another two follow up books.I haven't really got anything to look forward to myself crocus, just to see my daughter looking happy and slimmer, she has worked so very hard and she is going to write a book with my help about young people dieting and exercising. It is going to be the absolute truth, no holds barred she says.It is a mountain to climb!
Crocus
15-11-2007, 07:01 PM
Oh Sheds, you have life! You've got a sister who loves you very much, your daughter you surely are very proud of, and just think of the lovely times you going to have in helping you daughter writing her book! It might be a mountain, but before you know it, your going to be on top of that mountain, feeling exhilarated because the book's finished! Take it bit by bit and day by day. "The secret of success is to be true to a clear and meaningful aim". God bless!:)
