There was an article in our local newspaper on "The True You Diet". It looks quite interesting and the whole concept of this is about eating like forefathers have eaten in ancient times.
In his book, Dr. Briffa ( you probably know him as he is a well known British dr.) states that the ideal diet is based on what our ancient forefathers had in their diet. Up to 10 000 years ago people only had meat, fish, seafood, eggs, fruit, veggies and nuts and grains in their diet, and lots of water. This ancient diet also differed as to where people lived in those days. In the cooler regions people were mostly hunters and in the warmer regions people were "gatherers". In our DNS some of us are hunters who's systems digest fish and meat effectively while the "gatherers" digest carbohydrates more effectively.
