Two “senior” men are sitting in the garden while their wives are in the nearby kitchen.
“We went out for a lovely meal last week; lovely food, good service and very reasonably priced too”.
“Where was that?”
“At that little pub on the high street in the town”.
“which pub was it?”
“Oh dear I can’t remember, what’s the name of that flower?”
“geranium?”
“no, the tall bushy flower”
“a fuchsia?”
“no the one with thorns, except when they’re white”
“oh rose; you mean you went to the Rose and Crown?”
“no, hang on a minute”
he turns and shouts towards the kitchen:
“Rose, what was the name of that pub where we had that nice meal?”

You are number one story teller Clunk and keep them coming, they are great.
Crocus, don't worry if you haven't heard of Meno,I don't know who she is either but I'll try to find out when there is a pause in the proceedings.
I guess I am pretty lucky really,I have come out the other side of it all with just a permenantly vague expression, some unreliability of memory, and hot feet in bed!! otherwise I'm free of all the horrors;so ladies it DOES get better honestly, and senior moments are easily tolerated and can be quite amusing, don't despair!!!xxx

I get the occasional hot flush still, which is quite uncomfortable, especially during summer. Otherwise it's not too bad. xx

I have had an horendous time. It started when I had an hysterectomy at 35 and still going 22 years later. I now don't believe it will ever end, it just keeps getting worse. I can't take hrt I get to many bad side effects.
I had stress incontinence until it got so bad I couldn't stand it any more and had an operation 2 years ago called a TVT. It changed my life. I no longer have to plan journeys around toilets and can go walking for hours without having to go behind a bush regularly. I fancy the no-spill loo though, would be great on long journeys and when we are gold mining.

For the past few weeks I have been suffering with the flushes and boy oh boy I never thought they were like this, it rises from my feet the suddenly to my face. I have been getting them every day now. today I am also suffering with a migraine which I know also is part of the menopause.
I have started taking Black Cohosh for the flushes but I seem to be feeling a bit sick with these so will try for a while longer. I have also started to take Primrose Oil. I know I have a good diet so hopefully I will survive without having to take anything else.
