I heard this subject being discussed on the radio this morning! The subject was obesity and I ate 3 mars bars while I listened to it. (only joking of course) anyway they went on to discuss The Fidget Gene that some people are born with evidently - it is when as a child you had to keep being told to sit still and in later life you can't sit still and have to be on the go all the while. Have you ever heard of this gene?
No I haven't heard of it, but my other half cannot stay still in bed. He waggles his feet constantly, even when asleep. As a child he used to rhythmically bang his head against his pillow at night, but then it was found out later on that he used to get hyperactive (and naughty) on milk, which he thinks attributed to that sort of behaviour.

Oh mine does that with his feet too Oola... isn't it annoying? When he is sitting with his feet on the pouffe, reading or watching television, his feet must walk miles! But it's true, people who tend to fidget, and I am one of them, have to be doing something with my hands whilst watching television, have to get up every so often, always on the go a lot during the day too, are supposed to burn off calories. Well, I am here to tell you - it don't work for me:mad:

Most definitely not for me too! Hubby always fidgets with his two big toes, the whole time without even realising he's doing it. Takes after his mum you see. When the two of them are together in one room, well it's fidgeting toes as if in a million pound competition! :D
I'm a serial chewer...especially with pens...bad habit. Although my nails are in tact, which is good.

I don't think I have this gene for getting up cleaning etc. My brain is always on the go though, so perhaps I have a fidget brain.
