The view from my kitchen window, my sons giggle, a cats purr, the smell of the sea, daffodils.
These are a few of my favourite things (to coin a phase), what are yours?

Sons giving me a hug, green cornfields in winter, the south easterly breeze to cool us off during hot summer, blue cranes flying over our house, making their distinctive call, Pinky (Maltese) especially when she arrives back from being groomed, all white and fluffy and so proud of herself! To live where we live.

My home, my dog, the smell of hay and of the sheep shed at lambing time. Sitting by the woodburner late at night with a good book, dog on my lap. Early morning any time of year, but especially on sunny, cold, frosty mornings, or when it's been raining and it's like the world has been newly washed. Unexpected visits from friends. Chocolate!

My cats, my home, the local woods, especially in autumn, trees (I love trees!), our local redstarts (so cheeky!), my lovely old spinning wheel, our antique kitchen dresser (Bauernbuffet), our old MG (we've had that since student days),my ancient Queen Elizabeth rose (still flowering) - the list is endless!
