On the news this evening they were talking about that it would be more enviromently more better to have long life milk. Does anyone like long life milk? Apprently in Europe it is drunk more the fresh, i think they use it more for cooking. Redstart is it the samer for you in Switzerland?
Personally I dislike long life milk and if they ever stopped fresh milk I would have to give up milk...

Hi1 Healing Hands, I gave up drinking all milk a few years ago, and the decision was mainly brought on by being given long life milk in cafes, community centres and B&Bs. Yuck! it doesn't even taste like milk.

Hi, I don't particularly like long life milk, but have some in the larder should I run out of milk. The boys love it, but it's quite expensive, and I use quite a lot of milk each day.

We have milk delivered every day, but keep L/L milk in stock. We found by trial that the skimmed L/L milk tastes not too bad, and as we drink skimmed anyway, that's the one we use. Also, different brands taste different so it's worth experimenting. We drink the L/L half-fat milk in France, I like it but OH doesn't. Fran.

I'm with you, Healing Hands. If I had to drink UHT or Long Life I'd give milk up altogether and probably drink more soya milk.

I don't like it either but I do keep powdered milk in the pantry for cooking if I run short of fresh milk. A lot of dairies in this area send their milk to the UHT factory where it is exported. Our milk consumption since not having our own cow has decreased to almost non existant.

Yes SheepyJames I too would use Soya milk come to think of it I tried it last year on my porridge and it was not too bad, but not something I would drink all the time. Although Soya milk is good for you and if you are going throuhgh the menopause.
