My lovely built in fridge seems to collect water at the base of it which quickly turns into a bit of a pool. Any ideas why? I try to turn the thing up and and down in temperature, but to no avail. I would appreciate some advice as it is getting a tad infuriating as my veggies in the crisper at the bottom of the fridge end up swimming in water!

Not really sure, do you still have the maker's booklet. Sometimes they have troubleshooting tips at the back, or maybe a hotline to call and see if they can help figure it out. I wonder if it's something to do with humidity or something. Sorry can't come up with more useful tips .

Is the seal ill fitting around the doors perhaps therefore letting a bit of air in? Just an idea. X
I wonder if it is a self defrosting type? If so and it's similar to my fridge, there is a small drain hole at the back just above the salad drawer which can become blocked. I wiggle a bit of flexible straw to unclog it when this happens. My Mum had an ordinary type fridge with this problem which was the result of faulty thermostat and it was replaced under warranty.

Try what Lily suggests.
I've got a Smeg FAB 28 retro fridge and I need to occasionally unblock the small hole down at the back by the salad drawer. I just use a small wooden kebab stick - don't use anything to sharp or you may damage the fridge.

I'm sure you will find that S.Bay's advice will do the trick. If you aren't careful the little hole gets full of revolting mould which stops the water that collects from draining properly so it ends up in the bottom of the fridge. Drove me crazy until I realised what the problem was. Good luck with yer dibbling stick.
